Vegan taxidermy – Felt trophy head

A new workshop at Moth Studios

Our Vegan taxidermy workshop held at Moth Studios by Sherene the owner and taxidermist at Moth Studios.

Sherene is also an artist alongside being a taxidermist. Now, even though Moth Studios’ real animal taxidermy classes are all animals that have been responsibly sourced and/or donated, and Sherene is comfortable with her code of ethics, you may still have your own opinions on how far the ethics around death and preservation can go…

So this class is 100% vegan, it will be perfect for you and its a chance to get artistic! Students will learn how sew together our sections of felt, (Moth Studios will have pre made pieces ready to complete the mount entirely to help you along!)

You will arrange and begin to add their “skins” finishing off with hand pinning and sewing together your quilting, to make a fabulous “Faux deer mounted head” !

Everything you make you can take home with you and their with be some vegan refreshments available throughout the day.

* Please note, there will be taxidermy around the studio we work in (again, all donated and responsibly sourced upon death)
