Taxidermy & Tarot: A Halloween event with Moth Studios & Rituals Revived

October is just around the corner, and a very special spooky season event awaits! Join Moth Studios and Rituals Revived for the Halloween collaboration of your dreams.

At our “Taxidermy and Tarot” event you can expect pumpkins, spooky vibes and autumn cosiness as we welcome you this special butterfly and moth preservation workshop, with a side of tarot reading – all in the setting of our brand new stand alone studio space!

Hear from an expert – Sherene will talk you through the basics of preparing, setting & preserving. The perfect introduction to entomology.

Learn how to pin butterflies, moths and some special spooky specimens. ALL curious creations you preserve get to come home with you – and will last forever!

Hayley, from Rituals Revived Apothecary and Botanica will be joining us to do a short talk on why Halloween is the perfect time for a tarot reading, plus, all participants will receive their own mini reading using a specially designed Halloween spread and spooky-themed tarot deck!

• Your own preserved set of enchanting butterflies, moths and “trick & treat” specimens to take home

Free street parking (make sure to leave plenty of time to drive, as the Tyne Bridge traffic is very busy between 4-6pm)

Driving: Turn off on Byker Bridge(A193), right in between The Tanners Pub and Byker Morrisons roundabout. You’ll find us the street opposite The Old Coal Yard Brewery, next door to the Brick Works Studios.

Local bus routes are available to Byker Morrisons (A 5-10min walk from there)

Walking from Newcastle city centre: 20 minute walk from Newcastle Monument over the flyover, walking past manors metro, past The Tanners Pub, stay to the left hand side over Byker Bridge, and take a left when you see the motorbike shops. Then left again, opposite The Old Coal Yard and you’ll find us at the end of the street on the right hand side
