Join taxidermist Sherene Scott for the only workshop of its kind in the North East, learning how to preserve a number of specimens that you get to take home, including… the Death’s-Head Hawk Moth!
In this rare & intimate workshop, you’ll learn the basics in preparing, setting & preserving a series of enchanting insects.
You’ll start with butterflies before moving onto the hauntingly beautiful Death’s-Head Hawk Moth (Acherontia Atropos), famous for the skull-like pattern on its thorax (and Silence of The Lambs, obvs).
Even cooler, ALL curious creations you preserve get to come home with you – and last forever!

About Sherene Scott
With a vision to preserve the beauty of life and death, professionally trained & licensed taxidermist Sherene Scott created Moth Studios to bring this peculiar practice to other curious creatives. Member of the UK Guild of Taxidermists since 2010, all Sherene’s specimens are obtained & preserved lawfully, responsibly & respectfully. With a degree in Fine Art and qualification as a Youth Worker, Sherene has taught the art of taxidermy to beginners from all backgrounds for 11 years. Recognised as one of the top 10 young entrepreneurs of the North East, her work has also been published everywhere from BBC One to Buzzfeed.
