In this workshop you will discover the basics of preparing, setting & preserving a series of amazing specimens. You will learn the techniques of pinning butterflies before moving onto your beautiful Luna Moth – wait for it….all whilst sipping on a refreshing Hendricks gin and tonic! This is truly the perfect workshop to start 2022 of right!
The Luna Moth or sometimes called the “Moon Moth” (Actias luna) is pale green in colour, almost a minty green shade. Native to North America, the Luna Moth has a wingspan of up to 7 inches and display fantastic fluttering tails.

About Sherene Scott
With a vision to preserve the beauty of life and death, professionally trained & licensed taxidermist Sherene Scott created Moth Studios to bring this peculiar practice to other curious creatives. Member of the UK Guild of Taxidermists since 2010, all Sherene’s specimens are obtained & preserved lawfully, responsibly & respectfully. With a degree in Fine Art and qualification as a Youth Worker, Sherene has taught the art of taxidermy to beginners from all backgrounds for six years. Recognised as one of the top 10 young entrepreneurs of the North East, her work has also been published everywhere from BBC One to Buzzfeed.
