SUMMARY:Vegan taxidermy - Felt fox trophy head
DESCRIPTION:A new series of workshop at Moth Studios… \nOur vegan taxidermy workshop held by Sherene the owner and taxidermist at Moth Studios. \nSherene is also an artist alongside being a taxidermist. Now\, even though Moth Studios’ real animal taxidermy classes are all responsibly sourced and/or donated\, and Sherene being comfortable with her code of ethics when it comes to real animals and their counterparts… you may still have your own opinions on how far you\, or the ethics surrounding death and preservation can go. Which led us to the creation of this workshop… \nSo this class is 100% vegan\, it will be perfect for you and its a chance to get artistic. Students will learn how sew together sections of felt\, to make your own “Faux deer mounted head”. (Moth Studios will have pre-made pieces ready to help you along!) You will arrange your foxy colour combinations together\, add any trimmings\, fake eyes\, faux fur and begin to mount their “skins”. Finishing off with hand sewing and pinning your fabulous masterpiece together\, your faux fox head can be attached to a natural wooden slice for effect. \nEverything you make you can take home with you. \nThere will be complimentary tea & coffee throughout the session (vegan) and some vegan sweet treats to keep us going! \n* Please note\, there will be taxidermy around the studio we work in (again\, all donated and responsibly sourced upon death) So please be aware of this before you purchase a ticket. \nGift vouchers are available for this class. \n*Please note that booking a class on our website\, you will receive an e-ticket confirmation only (you don’t need to bring a physical ticket on the day of the class).
